Cave Creek Canyon

-Cave Creek Canyon is located on the east side of the Chiricahua Mountains near Portal, Arizona
-Known for its cliffs, streams, and wildlife
-Some call it "Arizona's Yosemite" because of its scenic rock-walled canyon, which is made of fused volcanic tuff

-The canyon is surrounded by the ever-flowing Cave Creek, which is underground in late May and June
-The South Fork is a popular area for birding
