Fort Lowell Park


-Fort Lowell Park is a 59-acre park in Tucson at 2900 North Craycroft Road
-Picnic tables, pond, swimming pool, museum, tennis, volleyball, ramadas, soccer fields,playground,a pond,bike path, and a museum in the former commanding officer's quarters
-The U.S. Army built Fort Lowell in 1873 to protect Tucson from the Apaches ... the fort was decommissioned in 1891 and returned to the Public Domain in 1894, opening it to homesteaders
