- Can weigh 100-150 pounds
- Elusive but not uncommon in southern Arizona mountain areas and foothills
- In 2024, a mountain lion found its way down to the Tucson Medical Center (Grant Road and Craycroft Road), and then into a walled courtyard!! Wow!! Long way from the mountains and giant leap to get into the courtyard. It was captured and released back into the wild!
