US Highway 80

- US Highway 80 in Southern Arizona, historically known as the "Mother of Arizona Highways," was a primary transcontinental route running from Douglas through Bisbee, Tombstone, and Benson toward Tucson before being largely replaced by Interstate 10
- Designated a Historic Arizona Road in 2018, this 72-mile stretch now largely exists as State Route 80, offering a scenic journey through historic Cochise County
- Known as the "Ocean-to-Ocean Highway," this route was crucial for Arizona's early 20th-century development
- The route connects the border town of Douglas (home to the Gadsden Hotel), the mining town of Bisbee, the famous Wild West town of Tombstone, and the railroad town of Benson
- Travelers can see the Queen Mine Tour in Bisbee, the Boothill Graveyard in Tombstone, and experience Kartchner Caverns State Park near Benson
- The route features 1920s concrete segments near Bisbee and vintage, repurposed motels, and the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation mapped the original route through Tucson's Miracle Mile Historic District
